JINGBAO™ Bilingual Nursery

Introduction

©1998 EyeWire, Inc.

JINGBAO™ Bilingual Children’s Centre is a Ministry-licensed childcare centre that delivers a unique early-years Mandarin language program, including math, science and arts. Our centre, which operates a dual-immersion environment (80% Mandarin and 20% English), serves children 18 months old to 5.5 years old. Students are not required to have prior knowledge of Mandarin Chinese.

Our students learn Mandarin by engaging in simple, daily exercises and activities, like:

  • Circle Time – daily group discussions and question time where teachers and students talk about the world around us
  • Arts and crafts (seasonal events, i.e. Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s Day, etc.)
  • Singing and dancing
  • Mealtime and routines
  • Physical activities (ball games, building a snowman, skipping, racing, water play, etc.)

During these activities, our teachers communicate in Mandarin. With daily repetition, “foreign” words, sounds and meanings, ultimately, become a part of your child’s vocabulary and they develop a new understanding of the world around them. They start to think in Mandarin!

The JINGBAO™ Experience

Our experienced and patient certified ECE/ECA teachers seek to understand every student’s personality, strengths and needs.
