Language and culture workshop held at Richmond Hill Board of Trade

On October 25, our school was invited by Richmond Hill Board of Trade (RHBOT) to present the Business Mandarin Workshop at its head office. 15 members of different profession registered and participated in this workshop, including financial planners, realtors, insurance brokers, dentists, etc.

The two-hour workshop was focusing on intercultural communication, business etiquette, as well as basic business language knowledge and skills.

Our experienced instructor, Ms. Lauren Liu (Liu Laoshi), delivered a fun-filled workshop with great enthusiasm. Ms. Michaella Lavarini, the Community Liaison Coordinator, gave high marks to the event. “It was so much fun! I was totally engaged in Lauren’s class! As we live in a diversified community, everyone should learn Mandarin.”

“Happy Mother’s Day” Open House drew big crowds.

May 6&13, 2017, the annual and school-wide open house was held at Toronto Mandarin School. The theme of this year is “Happy Mother’s Day”. Students from kindergarten to adults class all participated and showcased their creative work, including cards for mother, letters, diaries, posters, stories, poems, essays, paintings, and crafts, etc. Parents and guests gave high praise of the accomplishment and were impressed with how much students have learned.

Our preschool division, JingBao bilingual Children’s Center also joined the event. Karen Wang, the supervisor at our North York site came with her staff and help parents learn more about the program.

Many parents and new students attended our free trial classes and spoke highly of our teaching quality.
